Treasures of ancient Greek art
The National Archaeological Museum is the largest and most important in Greece, a museum not to be missed while in Athens. Thousands of artifacts from all over the country are exhibited, dated from prehistory to Roman times. We see all the highlights: the prehistoric collection, including the original golden finds from Mycenae, an excellent collection of sculpture, the bronze and pottery collections, and the frescoes from Santorini.
