An Excursion to the City of Mozart and the Sound of Music with a Private Guide

Salzburg is the city of Mozart and the Sound of Music. Salzburg is steeped in history and offers the visitor many attractions, such as the old town center (a UNESCO site), an impressive fortress, the beautiful Mirabel Gardens, magnificent churches, the Getreidegasse, one of Europe's most famous shopping streets, etc.

My classic Salzburg tour covers the highlights and history of Salzburg. We tour the city in the morning and after lunch you will have time to explore Salzburg on your own.

The tour can be adapted to your wishes; we can focus on the Sound of Music locations, for instance.

Other grewat possibilities near Salzburg:

- Hohenwerfen Fortress: spectacular castle with a falconry show.
- The world's largest ice cave.
- Hellbrunn Palace with its trick fountains.
- The Salzkammergut region with its breathtaking lakes.

Base price may be more for larger groups (larger vehicle).

Itinerary

08:30 am pickup
ca. 18:30 return to hotel.

We skirt the north edge of the Alps through some of the most beautiful country in Bavaria as we head east to Salzburg. After arriving in Salzburg the rest of the morning is reserved for the city tour. On the tour you will be able to see inside the churches and visit some shops to learn about Salzburg specialties.

Early afternoon lunch and afterwards free time to explore on your own.

Including other attractions will of course change the itinerary somewhat. If you prefer to also visit some of the sites listed in the 'Description' section, I will write you a personalized tour itinerary.

A Recent Review of this tour

Kevin was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable, willing to adjust the tour to meet our specific needs, knew all the "off the beaten path" places to eat and see and he has a great personality to go along with it. We used Kevin on three day trips from Munich and each one was 5 stars. We will be telling all our friends if they head to Munich for vacation to contact Kevin!
