A Private Escorted Tour
I will meet you at Beale Street Landing and escort you on a tour up Beale Street pointing out the music history emanating from the bricks, pavement and building fronts which still echo the Blues and reflect the moves and sound of young icons who begat America's major music genres. We will visit the Peabody Hotel and re-live the early music notes and steps taken by those who reveled and performed through the biggest part of this century and from the high rooftop perch summarize the whole impact of Memphis on America's music. We'll visit first performance venues of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Famous Soul and Blues artists and tour a quaint serene island filled with Southern Living homes with Charlestonesque charm.
Meet at the ramp in Beale Street Landing where your Riverboat arrives and have an orientation about the area and brief talk about the river stories in the Memphis region.
Ride down Riverside Drive, viewing parks, the Great American Pyramid, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital complex, Sun Studio, Johnny Cash's first performance venue, Elvis's first performance venue and then to Graceland.
Tour the Peabody and have a behind the scenes look at the Peabody Ducks' palace and re-live multiple eras of music born in this city.
Ride to Beale Street and South Main Street and view the Lorraine Motel/Civil Rights Museum and discuss the events which happened there.
