Malacca is a place with an unparalleled history and an inimitable and tangible soul which rarely fails to captivate and seize the imagination. Throughout the centuries, the cradle of modern Malaysia has been a gateway for merchants and traders from around the globe and remains a popular destination amongst local and foreign visitors.
Through this one day tour, reconnect and be acquainted with the essence of Malacca with numerous facts and legends while lifting the veil on Malacca's fascinating history, bringing you back to a Malacca long gone yet at the same time so familiar.
This is a one day tour of 8 hours with a 1 hour lunch break inclusive.
We shall begin our tour with the Malacca River and move on to
-Stadhuys or Dutch Square which includes the Christ church, Queen Victoria Coronation Fountain, Tan Beng Swee Clocktower and museum.
-St Paul's Hill and down to Porta De Santiago which is the ruins of the Portugese fortress.
-Independence Memorial and Proclamation Spot of Independence
-Photostop at Malacca Sultanate Palace
-Harmony Street (places of worship of our major religions)
-Baba Nyonya Museum
We shall stop for lunch for an hour.
The tour continues for a river cruise along the Malacca River. (This is optional)
The tour then goes on to
-The Straits Mosque
-Portuguese Settlement (The only Portuguese village in the country)
-Hang Li Poh's Well
The tour will end at the Kampung Morten which is a living Malay cultural village.
I shall send you back safely to your hotel or desired location within the city.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Your hotel within the city. Other locations can be arranged upon booking confirmation.
End location: I shall send you back to your hotel or other desired locations within the city of Malacca.
Duration: 8 hours
Subject to change due to weather (rain) and traffic conditions (due to school holidays or major festivals).
Part of historical and heritage sites would require walking and the other part would be by car.
The car is air-conditioned,very clean and relatively new. The car is a Nissan Almera and can accommodate up to 3 people.
