l Salvador was one of the most populated areas of the prehispanic Central America. Two main indigenous cultures migrated to this territory, the Mayans and the Nahuat (toltec family).

The major archaeological sites in El Salvador are Tazumal, Casa Blanca, San Andres and Joya de Ceren, which is the only UNESCO World Heritage site in El Salvador
Our Mayan tour covers only the 4 major Mayan sites Tazumal, Casa Blanca, San Andres and Joya de Ceren. and anthropological museum.
8:30 am pick up at your place and we move to Joya de Ceren
10:30 am We visit San Andres
12pm- At lunchtime we stop at Lake Coatepeque or Santa Ana City
2pm- We leave towards Chalchuapa and visit Casa Blanca
3pm- - and then Tazumal
Bring hiking shoes with good traction. Entrances to the parks are not included in our rate. Bring insect repellent and sun block.
No food or drinks provided by me. 8 hour tour, we start at either 7, 8, 9 am.
Site close at 4 pm and Museum at 5 pm.

Interesting tour ... Joya de Ceren is particularly unique among Mayan sites in Central America and definitely worth visiting. Roberto shared with us different interpretations of the structures and sites, which is always good to hear. If I had to select only two sites, I would chose Joya de Ceren and San Andres..
