The martial art of Kerala, ' Kalari Payatu', considered as one of the oldest forms of martial art of the world claiming 600 years of existence. The Kalari that is how the 'arena' is known as, is giving trainining to young and old, men and women in Kerala. Giving significance to one's defense in times of emergency and bridling one's emotions in a unique way of training in both spiritual and physical aspects on ones' self is what kalari is. Before independence of India when Kerala was ruled by maharajas, only men and women accomplished in 'Kalari' martial art was recruited to their army.
We invite to you to Kochi for watching 'Kalari' in a traditional setting with lush green courtyard.
We take you to famed 'Kalari' , in Kochi situated about 6 to 7 k. m. from down town.
This is a center for training young aspirants in Kochi. Most enthusiastic young people from India and abroad is taking training here.
