A historic walk through time

The charming town of Malacca is just like an ancient wharf anchored with many historic ships whose numerous and valuable holds, even till today, are filled with exciting cultural cargoes and surprises preserved after almost six centuries of existence. In short, a living heritage.

Historic Malacca, like a magic word, is known world over, but many people do not know that we have maintained the exotic flavour the term implies- unique architecture, varied cuisine and a melting pot of culture.

Come and enjoy this 'time-tunnel' and you shall leave with unforgettable memories. It is a city not to be missed.

Itinerary

Pickup at Malacca Port and a short drive to the city by car.

The walk will commence from where it all started-The Malacca River.

After the Malacca River, visit the
-The Stadhuys or Dutch Complex which includes the Christ Church, Queen Victoria Coronation Fountain and Tan Beng Swee Clocktower.

-Walk up to St Paul's Hill and then down to Porta De Santiago which is the ruins of the Portugese A Famosa fort.

-Photostop at Malacca Sultanate Museum

-Independence Memorial and Proclamation Spot of Independence

-Harmony Street(places of worship of major religions)

-Jonker Street

You will then have the option to either visit the Baba Nyonya Museum to experience the culture and heritage of the Baba Nyonya community OR experience the Malacca River Cruise along the Malacca River commonly dubbed as the 'Venice of the East'.
