Feeling peckish? Let's shop collectively for a pot-luck lunch, and drive to beautiful Rockcliffe Park to enjoy it. Continue by car to Rideau Hall, the Prime Ministerial residence and several embassies. Stop at Rideau Falls to learn the history of New Edinburgh. Continue of the Mile of History.
Drop off back in the market or at your hotel as desired.
We'll meet at the North-east corner of Rideau and Sussex, in front of the CIBC. Look for me in the Captain's cap. Alternatively, we can proceed from your hotel.
Walk through the market, comments on historic buildings and sites. Appreciate the preservation of the area, Ottawa's downtown market since the 1830's. Drop into the "Laff", our oldest tavern. When the mood strikes, we'll go shopping for the ingredients for our pot-luck lunch. Hop in the car and drive to scenic Rockcliffe Park to picnic. Return along the Mile of History with a stop at Rideau Falls to learn the history of New Edinburgh. Drop off back in the market. 5 hours.
