An immersion with understanding, feeling...and emotion (tickets includes).

Like a great dinner, a museum can be too much. . . especially the Louvre with 36 000 works of art.
With all my guiding experience in the Louvre (more than a thousand tour in it) , I guaranty you a delicate and comfortable Tour.

Technically, I know how to make you feel at ease with it : no line to enter, uncrowded and clean toilets, free cloakroom, where to enter, what to avoid and. . . where to see surprises !

And I know how to share my knowledges and informations (always based on facts or serious theories) to make it clear and easy, even funny sometimes for everybody.

We will see rooms, statues, paintings, unmissable masterpieces and not so famous ones to understand the reasons behind the legends and give you keys to understand.

Please note that content and orders are subjects to change according to you (your wishes !) and the Louvre (Not every rooms are open at the same time in the Louvre according to the day of the week).
If a room is closed, I will always show you another one with surprises.

-Napoleon's III apartment

-Original empress's Jewelery

-An objects that is the turning moment between pre-history and history.

-the largest capital you will see ever

-a 9000's years old statue

-The Louvre's oldest room

-the world's largest SPHINX outside Egypt (an Egyptian masterpiece a way to see perfection).

-VENUS OF MILO (Greek masterpiece, another perfection).

-WINGS OF VICTORY (a Greek masterpiece that inspired brands "Nike" its name and "Rolls-Royce" its symbol).

-a masterpiece by da VINCI that many people are missing (my favorite painting in the Louvre)

-MONA LISA (why is it a perfect portrait according to da Vinci, for both, eyes and mind ?)

-MEDUSA'S RAFT by Guericault (One of the largest French painting that can be read like an open book )

-SLAVES by Michelangelo (Two of the three Michelangelo's statues outside from Italy and another way to see perfection and sensuality )

-and finally, maybe a new way to see art's history, or with new eyes

A Recent Review of this tour

Alexandre's terrific. On the tour was my 16 year old daughter and myself. It was her second visit and my first. Alexandre did a great job of connecting us to the history of the louve and its' progression over time. With 36,000 pieces of art in the museum, it is easy to get lost. He did a phenomenal job of helping us acclimate to the museum and understand the progression of art thru history (from 9,000 years ago to 19th century). Of course, we also saw the most cherished pieces. A cherished tour!
