Enjoy the 'Off the Beaten Path' side of Vancouver
Discover the 'local side' of Vancouver while cruising effortlessly along on an electric bike. This intrepid route winds through trendy and upscale neighbourhoods towards UBC. The excitement kicks up a notch when entering the quiet solitude and shade of the UBC Endowment Forest adventurous bike path. Then a short ride through the UBC Campus and past the legendary Kitsilano beaches finally stopping for a well deserved picnic for refreshments, entertaining people watching, and spectacular views of the south side of English Bay!
We meet at 9:30 between the Cruise Ship Terminal and the Vancouver Convention Centre. The electric bikes are brought to us! A few minutes spent selecting a helmet and fitting the bikes, then an operational description of bike features with time to get comfortable. Our tour departs using protected bike lanes south to Kitsilano. We cruise the Arbutus Greenway, and towards the UBC Endowment Forest. We make our way 'off the beaten path' through the forest and pop out on campus. From there it is a short ride to the beaches where we pick a lovely ocean view and stop for a picnic and pictures to wrap up our tour.
