There is more to Amsterdam than the old centre
There is more to Amsterdam than canals, museums and the red light district. If you have been in Amsterdam before or already here for a couple of days than this can be an nice extra.
See a side of Amsterdam that is very popular among locals, see new creative places and upcoming area's.
It is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Amsterdam to find this hidden gem. On the way you will see the Old Batavia ship, Maritime Museum, house of Vincent van Gogh's sweetheart and more. The surrounding area of the Eastern Docklands with Zoo and Java Island close by.
Destination is the Czaar Peter street, a lovely street with shell museum and peanut butter store and more. For me this street is very special, my grandmother lived here from age 5 till 16 and she told me a lot of beautiful stories of the area I would love to share with you. After extensive redevelopment the area has blossomed into a mix of post-industrial and modern architecture and restaurants
We will visit the North of Amsterdam by taking a ferry over the river and explore the area. than back to west side of Amsterdam with food markets and local specialist shops and nice architecture

Jolijn gave us an amazing tour of Amsterdam. She met us at the ship and was prompt and we highly recommend her. She did such a good job I can't wait to go back to Amsterdam.
