Attend the Last Post in Ypres with a private guide
Our evening tour brings us directly to Tyne Cot Cemetery, the largest cemetery for Commonwealth forces in the world, for a short visit.
Then we drive to the heart of historic Ypres. We stop on the market square to view the magnificent Cloth Hall. Ypres was completely destroyed during the Great War.
We walk through the world famous Menin Gate, an impressive memorial to the missing erected and unveiled in 1927. Its large "Hall of Memory" contains the names of almost 55. 000 missing soldiers! Every evening at 8pm precisely, the Last Post has been sounded since 1928 under the imposing arches.
After the ceremony we return
We leave Bruges around 5:30 pm
The drive to Ypres takes about 1 hour. Close to Ypres we make a short stop at the Tyne Cot Cemetery.
We attend the Last Post Ceremony and see the city center of Ypres.
At 8:30 pm we return to Bruges.
Back in Bruges around 9:30 pm.
