Kilim Geoforest Park Tour

Kilim Geoforest Park is set within Langkawi Geopark which stretches from the North East to the Eastern part of the island. The main features of Kilim will be the oldest karst in Malaysia and the mangroves. This once forgotten rainforest between the sea and the land is now one of Langkawi's signature nature tours. A relaxing interpretive excursion on Langkawi's unique saline ecosystem set within the limestone karst. The boat journey starts from Tanjung Rhu jetty and will cruise on the channel in Kilim Geoforest Park where the highlight of this area will be the mangroves. You will discover the flora and fauna of the mangroves, how they cope with the challenges of living in such habitat and how this rainforest has benefited mankind for centuries. This tour includes a visit to the Bat Cave. However, please be warned that Bat Cave can be busy with visitors during peak season. Depending on the sea and weather condition, the boat will cruise along the coastline and you can opt to stop for a swim on a beach.

Wendy was a fabulous guide! She was knowledgeable about the mangroves and we learned so much from her. She was hospitable and made sure we were comfortable with a very nice vehicle and driver.
