It'll be your tour - designed especially for you. You'll tell me what you are interested in and I'll design a special half a day just for you.
The time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests.
Here some recommended courses. In a 4-hour tour, you could visit 2 places by public transportation. When time allows, we will visit one more place.
1. Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji (The Golden Pavilion)or Ryoanji (Please choose either one)
2. Sanjusangendo, Kiyomizu temple or Kodaiji, Yasaka pagoda
3. Kodaiji, Yasaka pagoda, Gion
4. Nanzenji, Heianjigu Shrine
5. Arashiyama Area (Tenryuji Zen temple/Bamboo Forest/Togetsu Bridge etc. . . )
6. Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine, Gion, Nishiki market
9. KYOTO CULTURE, ARTICRAFTS ACTIVITIES
Tea Ceremony , Ikebana (Flower arrangement), Yuzen Silk Dyeing, Lacquer Painting, Kyoto Sweets Making, Kimono dressing etc. . .
I will make an itinerary according to your interests and needs.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We will meet at the lobby of your hotel or the entrance of Kyoto Tourist Information Center "Kyo-navi" on the second floor of JR Kyoto station Building.
End location: We will return to the starting point. If you would like to spend more time at the final destination, I can leave you to explore on your own. Help will be provided in directing or assisting you to your next desired location
Duration: 4 hours
The tour duration might be affected by the weather or the traffic.
We will take a public bus, tram, JR train and also do some walking depending on the activities you choose. A 1-day bus ticket is 500JPY/Person. Tram fare is 200JPY/Person. JR train fare is 230JPY/Person. The fare varies according to destinations. (You can use JAPAN RAIL PASS for JR train.)
It is sometimes advisable to take a taxi in order to save time. A taxi can take 4 people at maximum. It costs about 800JPY~2,500JPY to go from one place to another.

You are responsible for purchasing any items of a personal nature related to shopping, souvenirs, snacks, and restaurant meals.
I require that you be covered by your own travel insurance policies.
I cannot offer tours to individuals not covered by their own travel insurance policies. By accepting my services and participating in the tour, you release me of any liability for any injury or accident occurring during the tour. If you are not covered by your own travel insurance policy, please let me know as soon as possible.
While it is extremely unlikely that an accident will happen, I cannot accept responsibility for unforeseen events that may occur before, during or after the tour. Of course, you can rest assured that I will make every effort to make sure that your tour is a safe one, and that includes avoiding major streets and traffic as much as possible.
I do not have a commercial driver's license, so I cannot drive during tours.
