Take a half day tour of Krakow City with a local guide
Cracow (Krakow) - the former capital of Poland, is nowadays said to be the cultural capital of this country because of its beauty and vitality. Cracow gained a special recognition with the title of the host city for the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2000. The city of artists, students and. . . travelers.
Enjoy a day exploring the cultural wealth of this great city with me!
Below are my suggestions for exploring in Krakow:
-walking tour along the Royal Route (the biggest tourist draw in the city)
-the remnants of Cracow fortifications (the Barbican, St Florian Gate)
-the Main Market Square (the Cloth Hall, the tower of Town Hall, St Mary church with world famous gothic altar by Wit Stwosz)
-Collegium Maius - the oldest building of Jagiellonian University (15th century) with the outstanding inner courtyard
-St Peter and Paul church - the first Baroque church in Cracow
-St Andrew church dating back to the 11th century
-Wawel Hill - the former seat of Polish rulers; the Royal Cathedral-burial and coronation place, the Royal Castle-inner courtyard (the visit to the interior with the collection of 16th century Flemish tapestries-on special request and with earlier reservation!)

Marta was an excellent tour guide. She took us around Krakow from the Wawel Castle grounds all the way to Kazimierz in four hours, working our way through the streets to all of the sights such as St Mary's (trumpet player), St Peter and Paul and the university clock just to name a few. Marta introduced us to the place to buy the best bagels in the blue carts. She was very knowledgeable about Kraków and we enjoyed our time with her.
