Shinkansen, local train, cable car, and monorail takes you to the top of the world!
This tour is very exciting because you can command a great view of one-million city Kitakyushu from the top of Mt. Sarakura(622m) and visit Kokura castle using several different vehicles, that is, Shinkansen Bullet train, local train, cable car, and monorail.
Mt. Sarakura is rarely included in major group tours run by big travel companies, but this is the place local guides would love to take tourists to. So I included Mt. Sarakura for ToursByLocals' members. Going up to the top of Mt. Sarakura by cable car gives you goose bumps!

Our group of 7 really enjoyed Asako's company during our recent cruise excursion in Fukuoka. We arrived early and after a quick email she was there in 15 minutes to greet us. Her knowledge of the Fukuoka areas was impressive as she points out many interesting history and highlight during the trip and her command of the English language was excellent. We had a busy but interesting day sampling the public transportation system and viewing/exploring Mt. Sarakura and Kokura Castle. We highly recommend her.
