We will be visiting an amazing area of 22. 000sq meters. A prehistoric "city", the place where the oldest European civilization started and flourished some 5000 years ago.

A walk inside the town's open-air market will make our senses awaken with its different and various smells, colors and sounds, while a traditional meal in one of the town's traditional restaurants will give us the chance to experience the Cretan cuisine in one of the places where the locals would go for a meal.

This tour was amazing and I highly recommend it, both because of the fascinating content and well as the knowledge and personality of our guide, Marilina. She was able to provide context and vivid descriptions of Knossos Palace, making the site much more manageable and enjoyable. Afterwards, Marilina took us around Heraklion and again gave us a lot of historical context for the city's great monuments. The best part of the tour was Marilina herself, who was wonderful. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
