Kawagoe is a town where you can enjoy a various forms of traditional Japanese architecture. Walk along a street lined with "Kura" storehouses and you will feel as though you have gone back to the old days. The oldest "Kura" was built in the 17the century and it is still used as a store today.
Time Bell Tower, a well known landmark of Kawagoe, is a wooden tower and the bell that sits atop the tower chimes daily with its nostalgic sounds.
If you enjoy Japanese history, we'll visit Kita-in Buddhist Temple. The temple has buildings moved from the Edo castle in the 17th century. One of the rooms is famous as the room where the 3rd Tokugawa Shogun was born. In the precincts, "Five hundred Rakan Buddha statues" will impress you with the number and variety of figures.
Another exciting stop will include a little alley called "Candy Street. " Dozens of small shops lined this street make a paradise not only for kids but for adults as well.

11:00 Walk around the town
viewing the "Kura" storehouses, visiting museums and Shinto Shrines, shopping in the "Candy Alley" and a mall full of local sweets and crafts
