Hiking and camping in the Canadian Rocky Mountains with a private guide
Get back to nature with a private three day hiking and camping adventure filled with towering peaks, rushing rivers and beautiful sub-alpine lakes.
There's no Wi-Fi but I think you'll feel a strong connection.
We meet at your hotel, go over the final packing list and review and sign waivers before driving to the trailhead.
Actual driving times vary depending on where we meet but will not exceed, an incredibly scenic, two hours.
At the trailhead we hoist our backpacks and enjoy a 7. 5 km hike along a rolling trail to our campground at the forks of Three Isle Creek and the Kananaskis River.
This backcountry campground will be our base as we explore the area. It is equipped with individual campsites, a group cooking/fire pit area and wood, bear proof lockers and outhouses.
After breakfast in camp we will depart on a day trip to either Three Isle Lakes (6 km return with some challenging uphill sections) or Turbine Canyon and the Alberta/BC border (20 km return).
Return to our vehicle and your hotel. We have the option to return the way we came 7. 5 km or take the long way via Hidden Lake and Sarrail Falls (20 km).
*** Easier and more challenging trips exist in the same general location.
