Kamakura is located 60km west of Tokyo, less than one hour distance. This city used to be the seat of the 1st Shogunate government from 1192 to 1333. It is called as "Kyoto" of eastern Japan. Numerous Zen sect temples, shrines and other historical monuments as well as Kamakura sand beaches attract travellers coming from all over the world.

Yumi is a great guide. She took me to Kamakura. We had a variety of experiences: We first went to a tea house in a bamboo forest, we visited many temples in the area, had lunch at a great sushi place, and viewed the Great Buddha! She showed me how to offer incense. Such a memorable day.
