This is about stunning scenery and exploring the famous Ngarua Caves where parts of The Lord of The Rings was filmed
I will pick you up from Nelson and we will make our way to Ngarua Caves. We will stop off for a short break to enjoy some morning tea at a local cafe before making our way to Hawkes Lookout for a short 10-15 short bush walk (easy) for stunning views across the Riwaka and Motueka valleys below and out to the Tasman Bay. You will then join a tour through the Ngarua Caves with its many varieties of stalagmites and stalactites, also featuring an excellent skeletal display of the extinct Moa. These caves are surrounded by an amazing Karst landscape. (There is a small ladder to climb up ). Afterwards we will drive to one of the top beaches of the South Island called Kaiteriteri. There will be time to have time to enjoy lunch at a beachside cafe and a stroll on the beach before we drive back to your accommodation. We will have a tasting trail on the way back taking in the Hop Federation Brewrey for a craft beer tasting and a winery or 2 if you wish. These options will be open to you
