After 30 years in the chemical industry I took the plunge in 2012 and started a new career in tourism and am passionate about sharing the incredible story of our country. I love putting a tour together that tells a story whether it be about the history, culture or nature. Because of my professional background I relate very well to a wide audience and have travelled overseas on numerous occasions. Having been in industrial water treatment, for example, I would go underground once a week on the gold mines that surround Johannesburg so have an in depth knowledge of the mining industry. With a love for the outdoors I can tailor make a tour that involves walking, cycling, hiking, camping or even horse riding! A tour to Kruger National Park is a must with some game viewing in an OSV, maybe a bush walk with a ranger and a visit to a local cultural village and community project to have some interaction with the local people.
A cycle tour of the Johannesburg Inner City or Soweto will get your adventurous spirit up and running. Or a cycle ride in a game park amongst the animals might get you going! All tours are customised to suit the guests as regards fitness levels etc. All equipment is provided.
A Recent Review of this guide
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Mark. We felt as if we were being shown Johannesburg by a friend. Although we had some knowledge of the struggle, to be shown around and be explained by Mark , we came a away knowing a great deal more. It was a very relaxed way of seeing Johannesburg and as a bonus Mark dropped us off at the airport . A great way to finish our holiday in South Africa and Botswana. Thanks once again Mark Graeme and Denise Wilson
