I graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Geology, but I soon decided to pursue a career as a Tour Guide to combine my profession with my passion: traveling and outdoor! This led me to study to become a local guide and here I am!
I live in Iasi, an amazing town with a centuries-old history, a university city - the University of Iasi being the first in Romania - with many museums, theaters (the National Theatre of Iasi is a masterpiece), monasteries, palaces (Palace of Culture is also a masterpiece), gardens and restaurants to suit every taste!
Also, Iasi with its geographical position can be the gateway to many destinations. Thanks to its proximity to the border with Moldavia and Ukraine it also allows day-trip to these neighboring countries. Cities such as Suceava, Piatra Neamt, Chisinau, Chernivtsi are easily reachable.
My Top pick experience is exploring the mountains in its surroundings: the Carpathian Mountains on the East, but also Rodnei, Calimani, Rarau-Giumalau, Ceahlau are definitely worth a visit! And if you're not especially keen on hiking, I'll give you more reasons to come! Century-monasteries painted in Bucovina, declared National Monument by UNESCO, but also canyons, lakes, waterfalls and mountain villages lost among the peaks.
I started this job as a hobby when I was at college, and I spent many hours "on the ground" to get to know my country, sometimes in very isolated areas. The passion for the mountain, hiking, in particular, played an important role in my personality development, shaping my way of making decisions and dealing with emergency situations.
My other big passion is History and I enjoy learning about monuments, fortresses, princely houses, churches, monasteries, some very old ones, and more recent ones.
Over the last 5 years, I decided to work exclusively as a Tour Guide and I love sharing my knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with tourists.
I would like to end up with a motto in Latin:
"omnia mia mecum portum" / what is mine, is with me"
Let's visit IASI together, let me share my passion with you!
