7 Hour Walking Tour of Hong Kong, Kowloon or Other By Request
This is my most popular tour. It is a cultural and historic walking tour of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island tailored to the interests of an inquisitive and discerning cultural traveler.
I will make sure you will see and experience a truly memorable mix of iconic Hong Kong points of interest as well as plenty of localities far off the mainstream touristic path.
You can count on plenty of vibrant local street culture. You can also expect a smattering of tasty local street snacking coupled with my sophisticated NYC cab driver style of commentary along the way.
As my parents said, if you truly want to understand a culture you have to look at how the people eat, pray and trade. That means neighbourhood street life, local street markets, street food, local eateries and all manner of taoist, buddhist and local folk temples and shrines.
My bespoke Hong Kong cultural tours are strictly private and tailored to fully match your expectations.
PS: Remember to inquire about a full day excursion to Old Portuguese Macau!
This is a private walking tour which means the itinerary will be personalised to meet your unique preferences.
As a general matter you can expect that we will cover all of the important points of interest in central Hong Kong, including the best vista from Victoria Peak, the historic Central District, the Star Ferry, the magnificent temples of Kowloon and the colourful mass of local urbanity known as Mongkok.
However, I will take you one step further by interconnecting and weaving between these basic waypoints with my own repertoire of local neighbourhoods, markets and lesser known but equally significant points of interest that I consider essential in order to complete the cultural and historic "big picture" of Hong Kong and its people.
This is the reaction I target: Wow I never imagined I would experience and learn so much.
And if you are an avid amateur photographer, phone camera user or simply want to have your visit well documented with cherished photographic memories, I'm your guide. . .

Bill is a real pro - it felt more like we were being shown around by a dear old friend. Great conversation, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to see the non-touristy parts of Hong Kong, the REAL Hong Kong. The restaurant stops were fantastic, the locals restaurants are so much better than the tourist "hot spots", and we were made to feel very welcome at each place. The temple visits were a treasure, and the markets! We have so many great photos from our day with Bill, it was a trip to remember.
