Bruny Island is renowned for a rugged terrain, magnificent coastal landscapes, captivating forest walks and a diversity of wildlife and native flowers; it's a birdwatcher's paradise too.
This is a day is one to explore a spectacular coastal environment, hear stories about an indigenous history and early explorers. You'll be in awe of the natural environment, its panoramic views and the pristine beaches. Throughout the day, we'll keep an eye out for the bird and wildlife inhabitants along the way. Throughout the day, you may like to tease your tastebuds with a tipple of wine at a winery, cheese at the cheesemakers or an oyster at the oyster farm.
Departing Hobart we travel south to Kettering for a 20 minute ferry journey across the D'Entrecasteaux

Visit 'The Neck', a narrow isthmus that separates North Bruny Island from South Bruny Island, Adventure Bay, Cape Bruny Lighthouse, Cloudy Bay, South Bruny National Park and more as time permits.

Departure from Hobart CBD accommodation is complimentary. Other areas for departure include Battery Point, Salamanca, Sandy Bay, West Hobart, Kingston and New Town.
Unless arranged otherwise, if you are staying in accommodation outside of the areas noted above, I will meet you at the Hobart Travel and Information Centre on the corner of Elizabeth & Davey Streets, Hobart,
Airport meet and greet may be arranged if required.
PLEASE NOTE: This tour is NOT suitable for a cruise ship shore excursion due to the time required to travel to and from Bruny Island (and the ferry transfer timetable).
If your ship is in port for more than one day (i.e. overnight) then it may be do-able, depending on the arrival time of your ship - please send me a message with details and I will advise accordingly.
End location: I will return you to the same place we started from or another location as discussed on the day (you may like to visit Salamanca where there's many galleries, restaurants and cafes) and return to your hotel at your leisure.
Duration: 10 hours
We will be reliant on the schedule of the vehicular ferry (which does not take pre-bookings) to cross the D'Entrecastaux Channel requiring us to queue for boarding. At some times (peak tourist season), this can be busy so we may arrive in Hobart a little later than expected.
You will travel a modern, air-conditioned passenger vehicle - a fully registered, insured and accredited SUV

To get in and out of the vehicle, the 5th and 6th passengers will be required step up through wide opening passenger doors to access seating behind the middle row and into a 3rd row of seating. This space is most suited to persons of a smaller stature.

15 AUD - This tour is all-inclusive of all that you need however, if it's available on the day, you may like to join a tour inside the Cape Bruny Lighthouse. You will also be responsible for the purchase of souvenirs and additional refreshments.
