The visit will begin with a guided tour of Sommières. A typical southern town and an important place of
passage throughout history. The Roman Emperor Tiberius built a 31-arch bridge there to span the
Vidourle river and ease trafic. A charming town of alleyways squares and mansions of wool and leather
craftsmen, famous for the 'Terres de Sommières' household cleaner which now enjoys a protected heritage status.

A lunch-break in Nîmes before visiting the world-famous preserved Roman remains. Discover the
arena, the ancient roman temple 'Maison Carrée' and the garden of fountains in the heart of this great Roman city.

Continue to travel through time and discover the Pont du Gard.
The most visited ancient monument in France, this majestic UNESCO World Heritage site the secrets of
this 2000 year-old aqueduct will be revealed at the superb nearby museum.
