Let's go and discover the hidden treasures behind the 17th-century canalhouses of the Unesco World's Heritage List. You will be amazed by the size of the gardens that once belonged to the historical mansions, owned by the whealthy 17th and 18th century merchants. In the historical citycenter we will visit one of these 17th wonderful canalhouses, including its beautiful garden, while I tell you about its history and inhabitants. From here we will stroll along the canals, admire the architecture of the Golden Age and visit the most famous medieval courtyard of Amsterdam.
We will carry on by local public transport to visit one of the beautiful parks in the East part of the city and see the only remaining country-estate and the period garden, built at the bottom of a former lake. We will return to the citycenter by tram. To finish this gardentour you could get off at the stop near the Botanical Gardens from1638.
