Hike to Fish in Kananaskis Provincial Park
The Canadian Rocky Mountains offer a dramatic landscape and can be the ultimate challenge for the fly angler.
This tour takes us up to a tranquil glacier fed lake that is surrounded by majestic towering peaks. These high mountain lakes can be a delight to fish as they are teaming with Cutthroat or Brook Trout. The scenery is so spectacular that the fishing is actually the bonus.
These are some my favourite fishing destinations. In this area, we have numerous lakes to choose from. I grew up fishing these lakes, and love to fish them to this day. Some destinations offer more of a challenge for experienced anglers, while others are great for beginners. Let me know what you are looking for and I can accommodate your needs.
I will meet you at your hotel (in Calgary) where we will review and sign the liability waiver and medical form.
After a quick safety briefing, equipment and fishing licence check, we will depart for our tour. Please note that distances and driving times will vary.
We will have lunch at the lake.
Return to your hotel/accommodation at the end of the tour.
*Itineraries may vary depending on the time of year and location (Please note, tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather, road conditions, or animal advisories. I will do my best to find a viable alternative destination).
