A three-hour tour for those who are visiting Florence for the first time, to enter slowly but thoroughly into its history and mood.
We will walk through the historical old city centre, focusing on its famous old palaces (Medici, Strozzi), on its religious centre (the area around the Cathedral), and on its political centre, Signoria Square. Ponte Vecchio will be one of our unequivocal stops, the most important and famous bridge in the city with its elevated pathway, that narrates the glorious history of the incredibly powerful Medici family.
After these preliminaries, we will be ready for the David, the astounding Renaissance masterpiece housed today in the Galleria dell'Accademia.
