Using local public transportaion makes your trip very special
Visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine by train and stroll around the shrine, then visit the Kyushu national museum, the newest national museum in Japan. You also enjoy seeing many survenir shops and have lunch on your own. After lunch, you'll go back to visit Tochoji temple, then walk to Kushida shrine. You'll use the bus or train to go back to JR Hakata St. or Tenjin St.
Leaving the meeting place at 9:00, you'll head to Dazaifu tenmangu shrine by train, which takes about 30min from Tenjin, 45min from Hakata. Then you'll stroll around the area. After that, you'll visit Kyushu national museum located closeby. Whether you'd like to enter the permanent exhibition or just enjoy the structure depends on you. You can enjoy seeing many suvenir shops, then have lunch on your own. If you have any request, I can recommend a sushi restaurant nearby. After lunch, you'll go back by train and subway to visit Tochoji temple and walk to Kushida shrine. If still time allows, you can visit Hakata traditional musium located nearby. Afternoon places can be changed upon request.
