Cities of the knights, Prehistoric treasures and Fishing Villages

Discover the three old maritime cites - the first headquaters of the famous Knights in Malta.

Visit Malta's largest fishing village: Marsaxlokk, famous for its coloured boats with eyes - the eyes of Horus that protect fishermen from evil.

Drive down to the tiny inlet below the town of Zurrieq, stop and take a postcard picture of the Blue Grotto from the belvedere. Down by the sea fishermen offer twenty minute boat trips into a natural sea cave (the Blue Grotto) where one can see and admire corals, sponges and fish. (weather permitting)

Lastly we stop at the Hagar Qim Archaeological park. You will go back in time 5000 years, when fertility worshippers created Malta's atmospheric temples.

The Holy Infirmary of the Knights now a cloister, the Executioner's house and the oldest house in Birgu the medieval house, are some of the attractions you will discover on this tour. Visit the Inquisitor's Palace - Sixty two Inquisitors lived and worked inside this building two became popes!

Tour proceeds to Marsaxlokk, a fishing village south east of Malta. Free time for lunch.

After lunch we will drive towards the Wied iz-Zurrieq where there will be the possibility (weather permitting) to take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto.

Tour ends with the visit of the Hagar Qim Archaeological park -a UNESCO World heritage site that predates the famous Pyramids in Egypt by a thousand years. A Recent Review of this tour

This was an excellent tour. Glorianne was a first rate guide - knowledgeable and interesting. She made sure that we were able to see everything we wanted to on a tight schedule without ever making us feel rushed. The mini-bus and driver she hired for us were also top notch. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Malta!
