But 8 years ago I came to Mexico and felt in love with this incredible country. So I decided to stay here and make my life in Mexico.
For the last 8 years I have been working as a tour guide and traveling around Mexico to discover as much of its rich culture and history as possible.
During 6 years I lived and worked in Cancun, and for the last two years I have been working and living in Mexico City.
What can I tell you, there is so much to see and there are so many wonderful places to visit, that more I travel and more I learn - more I see that culture here is more immense that we could ever imagine.
I understand that usually visitors of Mexico City don't dispose a lot of time, but I would do everything so you can see and learns as much as possible of Mexico City and surroundings!
A Recent Review of this guide
We thoroughly enjoyed Olga. She is a super driver and super informer. Her story of how she came to be a guide is a great story and one that we enjoyed. We will be basing our next trip to Mexico on a lot of her recommendations and experiences. Oh and did I say a great driver? Don't know how she does it but I was certainly glad it was her at the wheel. Thank you Olga!
I am a certified tour guide.
What does it mean? In Mexico to be able to give tours at historical places and archaeological sites you have to have a special license.
What it requires to have a license? First of all to get a short education, which includes course of history, archaeology and culture. And than, to keep your knowledges updates, you have to take special courses - 40 hours per year of specialized themes. For example for me it was Mayan Codices, Shamanism in ancient Mexico, myths of creation among others.
I have also studied hospitality service in University.
I have a drivers license as well and certificated by a Red Cross to be able to give first aid.
NONE - I am a driver and a certified tour guide, so I don't have any restrictions.
