A taste of Hungary
6-8 hours may seem like a lot but I've put together a very special program for you. You'll get to know the true and authentic Hungarian lifestyle in the "wild-west", you will make your own herbal medicine from nature's kitchen, we will ride carriages, eat almost everything there is to eat, starting from honey all the way to delicious home cooked Hungarian dishes, where you can learn about their special way of cooking.
You'll be able to taste the best local wines and one of the most delicious Hungarian spirit "pálinka"
The only problem with this program is, once it is over, you will not want to leave Hungary. . . trust me. . . I know
I'll pick you guys up in Budapest. (preferably early morning --> 8:00)
We'll drive down to the countryside. (2 hour drive ; stories and history on the road)
We do a Thiany and Keszthely city sight-seeing with occasional wine-stopps.
We'll visit Festetich Palace and we go to it's unique cellar to taste wines like the aristocrats in the 18th century.
We'll also visit "csillagvár" where we can eat foods prepared the same way as in medieval times.
After this we visit Local farmers in Zalaszentgrót. Each of them has a unique specialty. (honey, herbs, meat, cheese) and we'll taste all of them.
Lastly we'll visit a Local Pálinka brewery at "Kisgörbô" to taste the famous hungarian spirit with some food of your choice.
I'll bring you guys to the Trainstation and put you guys on a comfortable train with all the necessary information needed to get from "Nyugati trainstation" in Budapest to your Hotel's location with ease.

We had a lovely tour with Viktor and especially enjoyed his knowledge of wines in this region and his knowledge of history. We really felt like we had a good sampling of the wines available in this region and he worked with one of the wineries to allow us to ship some wine home. It was a fantastic day and we absolutely love Hungary and hope to return again soon.
