Avignon is full of history and full of life, seat of the popes and city of theatre, art and culture. The historical city centre has much to offer: the great architecture, various museums, art collections and a number of historical monuments, two of them are listed as world heritage sites by UNESCO - the Popes' Palace and the Saint Bénézet Bridge. Besides that we will explore the charming Place de l'Horloge with Avignon's Hotel de Ville and The Theatre, the Cathedral and enjoy the view from spectacular point of The Rocher des Doms.
Avignon is a perfect city to start acquaintance with Provence: its beauty, traditions and gastronomy. During our visit of Avignon we will touch all of these aspects. We will walk through charming streets of the Medieval city centre with cute local boutiques, gastronomic shops and lively terraces.

Anya was terrific! My wife and 2 college aged daughters took the 2 hour tour of Avignon. Anya couldn't have been nicer, and she had thorough knowledge of Avignon and regional history. We loved Avignon - Anya showed us some great parts of the city we likely would not have found on our own. She also shared a lot of history, & gave us recommendations of other things to do in Avignon and the region. We would definitely recommend her and use her services again next time we're in the area.
