Sharing my home, from body surfing at Hamoa Beach, which the late author James Michener said is the most perfect crescent of beach in the Pacific, to jumping off a 35' cliff at Waioka into a hidden pool, are the things I love to do with my guests on their Hana tour.
I'm a Hana boy, but went to a military academy before returning to Maui to pursue a career in Hawaii's hospitality industry. While working as a front office agent at a luxurious Kaanapali hotel, many of our guests commented on how much they would like to see Maui, and especially the Hana area, from the eyes of someone born and raised in Hana, who can really give them an "insider's" view of living in paradise.
All of my tours are tailored to the wishes of my guests, but I will warn you in advance, I like to have my guests do things out of the ordinary and get their adrenalin pumping! We can stop at every bridge to Hana, hike to every hidden waterfall, and even swim into a hidden cave, where legend has it a princess hid from her abusive and evil husband.
As we drive along the road to Hana, we can talk about anything you want to know, from my own personal history of growing up in Hana, to the names of the tropical plants and flowers we see along the way. My guests wishes are always considered first, and if you want to just relax and sightsee without getting out of the car, that's alright too.
At the end of the day, when we return to your hotel, I want you to leave me feeling you have made a life-long friend, and somewhere, sometime in the future, we will meet again. In Hawaiian, Aloha oe means good-bye until we meet again.

Tony was an excellent guide. He showed us trails to waterfalls we would not otherwise have found. He explained a lot of the history of Hana as well. Very pleased and would recommend.
I am not able to do tours within Haleakala National Park.
