Laissez les bon temps rouler! Let the good times roll with Matt, your professional New Orleans tour guide.

I look forward to showing you my hometown and customizing an experience you'll cherish. It's my goal to make you feel welcome and show you a New Orleans only long time residents know. Be a New Orleanian wherever you are!

Being raised in New Orleans was a unique experience. I remember being stunned when finding out Mardi Gras wasn't a national holiday. Not everyone has an attic full of beads? How odd!

Everything here seems to have it's own unique musical beat which I'd love to dance to with you and your guests. Though we have a laissez-faire attitude, our open container policy for example, we do have "rules" you should know. First, we eat red beans and rice on Mondays. Second, if you find a plastic baby inside of a King Cake, you must buy the next cake. Lastly, please eat and drink until you're content and enjoy your life!

All of this and more will be explained thoroughly. I look forward to being your friend and guide. Please enjoy the southern hospitality while we explore the local spots and learn about the history, culture, and architecture of New Orleans. I take great pride in my knowledge of New Orleans and the desire to show you a great time.

Here is a little more information about me. I'm from New Orleans, LA and my family and I live in the Uptown, Riverbend section of the city. I have a bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University, am a USCG veteran, and spent 3 years in China as a teacher. I'm a licensed tour guide and can create an itinerary that fits your specific and unique needs.

A Recent Review of this guide

We've used a number of TBL's guides over the years, but none can compare to Matt, in friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile to make our tour of New Orleans, one we will never forget. Having grown up in NOLA, he knows the city like the back of his hand, spending 7 vs. the scheduled 6 hours, to take us from one end of the city to the other and back again, stopping often to explain the city's history, and giving us "insider tips," on how to be a local, like getting a table at Cafe du Monde.
