Texas is famous in movies and television for our ranches. Here is possibly your once in a lifetime opportunity to visit an actual ranch and it is still working. You will see lifestock and reenactors and travel over several acres.
If one associates ranches with Texas, one must visit here. This is the only working ranch open to the general public in the Houston vicinity. Ride on a tractor pulled tram. See reenactors at multiple sites tell about life on a ranch. It has the/a:
1. 1830s Jones Stock Farm,
2. 1860s Ryon Prairie Home,
3. 1890s Davis Victorian Complex,
4. 1930s George Cattle Complex, and
5. Small museum with a movie about the history of the area.
A cafe for lunch is on the property.

This tour includes transportation from Houston to the George Historical Ranch (GHR) and transport to either Bush (IAH) Airport, Hobby (HOU) Airport, the Amtrak station, Greyhound station or a hotel in downtown or the Galleria area.
The GHR is located in Richmond, Texas. It is not in Houston.
It also includes the admission to the George Ranch, viewing the introductory movie, going through the history museum, the tractor pulled ride, touring the four sites and listening to and watching the re-enactors.
A small cafe is located on the ranch. You pay for your meal generally between $10.00 and $20.00, depending on what you order. If you would like to go to a BBQ restaurant with a bigger selection of food or some other restaurant, we will be glad to accommodate you.
The GHR is approximately 32 miles/51 kilometers from downtown Houston. The travel time is about 43 minutes. The time to either of the two major airports will be about 1 hour. Thus, you will have about 4.2 hours at the GHR.

I can take up to nine people with their luggage in our full-size van. I pick-up and drop-off people at cruise terminals. I take tourists to museums, and let them tour exhibits at their own pace, telling them what time we need to meet again at the van.
