2 1/2 Hour Private History Tour Upriver.
After the Louisiana purchase in 1803, is when the Garden District was developed for the wealthy Americans. Because of the large lawns, the community was fittingly nicknamed the Garden District.
Just 15 min. from the French quarter. We will walk thought and talk about the differences between the Creoles( first born to the original settlers) and the American. You will see some of the most beautiful homes in America. If you tour Tuesday-Friday you will be able to tour one of the most beautiful mansions on St Charles Ave.
While in the Garden District we will walk through Lafayett cemetery. New Orleans is a city surrounded by water and built below sea level. This is why our departed spend eternity entombed above ground.
Before heading back we will stop by one of my favorite places uptown, The Columns Hotel. A beautiful home built in 1887 that is now a small boutique hotel, where will sit on the front porch and enjoy a drink and watch the oldest streetcar pass by.
A great way to end your

Michaela was fantastic! She is spunky, knowledgeable, and wonderfully gracious. We couldn't imagine there being a better native to show us her city. In addition to a great tour, she offered many off the beaten path dining and entertainment suggestions throughout our stay. Not only did we love her, but we loved that she had an extremely comfortable Mercedes to drive us around when walking in the heat became overwhelming. She was the perfect match for me and my husband, the Historian.
