We are meeting in the ferry quay of Eceabat which is the nearest town to the battlefields. After some 15 minutes driving we start to visit Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery (the man with donkey), Anzac Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, Anzac Commemorative Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial & Cemetery, Johnstons Jolly (original trenches and tunnels), Turkish Cemetery, The Nek, Chunuk Bair NZ Memorial & Cemetery.
After picking you up, our first objective will be driving to Brighton Beach 15 minutes away. On the way, we'll talk about the plans for landings at the beaches. Once we arrive, we'll enjoy the beautiful views and take a stroll on the beach.
Later we will set out for Anzac Cove and the Beach Cemetery (The man with the donkey's grave is found here). We'll also visit Ariburnu Cemetery (recounting Atatürk's Adress to the allied soldiers and mothers) and talk about the ANZAC landings and Turkish defence in the first days. Breathe the same atmosphere at the Anzac Commemoration Area by navigating landing zone and the sphinks.
Afterwards next step is Lone Pine Australian Memorial & Cemetery, walk in the trenches and hear about underground tunnel battles in Johnston's Jolly. In the Turkish Cemetery compare the graves and enjoy your drinks or ice-cream.

Esra took us to gallipoli in late July. She came and met us iat our hotel in a wonderful air conditioned car and we spent the day amongst the battlefields. Esra was incredibly friendly, professional, sensitive to our sometimes overwhelming feelings of sadness and emotion and interestingly informative. I would recommend her unreservedly. At the end of the day she willingly helped us negotiate a bus ticket back to Istanbul - which was way beyond her brief.
