Have you ever heard about Palermo Street Food? It is one of the most of funky and bizarre food of the world.
Palermo is the 5th in the world for the importance of its local food, according to the magazine 'Forbes'.
This tour is a great way to experience Palermo's culture and get in touch with local people. It covers many of Palermo's street food specialties and highlights much of Palermo's artistic and architectural points of interest in the old town.
We explore the historical market, tasting at least 5 different kinds of street food, and walk through the art treasures of the old town.
Some of the typical street foods we try during our tours are, panelle & crocchè (chickpea and potato fritters), arancina (rice ball) the famous pani ca' meusa (spleen sandwich), and a dessert, cannoli or Sicilian granita or Gelato.
You will also learn a lot about the recipes, history, traditions and many secrets of this multicultural city.
