The Upper French Quarter tour is like all of our tours in that it encourages you to experience the excitement, wonder and flavor of this unique City.
Our goal is to help you experience the romance of Jackson Square, celebrate the daring of privateers in Pirates Alley, learn the factors that brought about the Louisiana Purchase, toast Napoleon Bonapart in the most European bar in the French Quarter and Honor the most influential women in New Orleans history.

Upper French Quarter Itinerary
Meet at the Cabildo portico (front covered portion of building) at 701 Chartes at the intersection of St. Peter, on Jackson Square in the French Quarter.
Visit: Riverfront, Pontalba Apartments, Jackson Square, Cabildo, St. Louis Cathedral, Presbytre, 1850 House, Place D'Arms Courtyard
30 Minute Break at Local Restaurant (cost of food/drink not included)
Visit: Pirates Alley, Anthony's Garden, Quadroon Ballroom, Peychaud's Pharmacy, Louisiana Supreme Court, Maspero's Slave Exchange, Napoleon House, Pharmacy Museum and the Vincent Nunez House
Finish at Cabildo, 701 Chartres Street at St. Peter
Tours are conducted rain or shine; consider bringing an umbrella.
This is a walking tour and will cover about 1. 5 miles. Note, the sidewalks in the French Quarter are uneven and require care and good walking shoes.

End location: Jackson Square

Festivals, parades and other special events (very frequent in the city) may cause some delays or modifications. However, if needed, the tour will last longer to accommodate tour participants. We will have some flexibility in our schedule.
This is a walking tour and transportation is not provided. However, pick up and drop off can be arranged in advance if mutually agreed upon.
