Kid Friendly: Yes. While children are very welcome on the tour, the tour is geared to adults.
This is not a "kid's tour".
Please note that Flornece is NOT completely hanicapped friendly. I have done several tour with clients in wheelchairs accompanied by a "strong accompaning person" able to navigate the often bumpy cobblestone streets and "not so great" ramps. In many places elevators are available.
The tours have been "sucessful".

Private walking tour to discover Jewish history and the beauty of Florence
This private, guided walking tour will take you through Florence, from the Oltrarno area to the synagogue. We will trace the history of the Jewish community from the early 1300's to today, as well as seeing Florence's most important monuments, like the Old Bridge, Palazzo Vecchio, the cathedral square and more. We'll also have a chance to talk about general history, the people and the art that make Florence famous.
The highlight of the tour is the visit the new synagogue, dating from 1882, one of the most beautiful in all of Europe.
We'll start in the "Oltrarno" side of Florence and see the place where the first synagogue was established. Then we'll walk over the Old Bridge, going to the Signoria Square (where the Palazzo Vecchio is), continue on the grand pedestrian street - Via Calzaiuoli - stop at the Orsanmichele church, and the Republica Square (where the ghetto stood). We'll detour into the Via delle Oche street to see where 2 small synagogues once were before going on to the Cathedral Square to view the beautiful doors of the Baptistry with the Tanach stories. Our tour will end with a visit to the monumental synagogue of Florence.
We can also do the tour starting at the synagogue.
Please note that this is a private tour, so we can make changes the itinerary as you may like .

Laura was so knowledgeable about the subject of Jewish history and current life in Florence. We enjoyed her personality immensely and had a wonderful and thorough tour of the beautiful Florence synagogue.
