One of most beautifully preserved medieval towns
Not far from Lisbon we have the biggest region of Portugal: Alentejo and Évora is the main city. The landscape, the lifestyle is completely different, here there's no rush, everything is so calm, and will give you the feeling of relax.
Évora is a beautiful city that's World Heritage Site. A walled city very well preserved with so much history. We can visit the Roman Temple (with more than 2000 years old!), the unexpected bones chapel, the cathedral, etc.
Besides that we will finally see the famous cork trees and visit a cork factory and understand this important industry and this new kind of handicraft in Portugal.
Join me in this relax day.
We will depart from Lisbon cross one of the bridges and drive to Évora, is about 1 hour and half. In Évora we will explore the city walking. Then we will drive 20 minutes to visit a cork factory and know more about this amazing product that is cork (if you are not interest in a cork factory, please let me know and we can replace for other thing). Return to Lisbon.

This was our fourth day with Silvia. the village of Evora is historically very interesting and beautiful to visit. Thanks to Sylvia we again learned more of the history and culture that contributes to making Portual such a beautiful, friendly, and interesting country. Evora gave us a chance to learn about cork...how it's harvested, processed, and turned into much more than a seal for wine bottles....but....that's pretty important!!! A 6th star for Sylvia and her contributions to our visit!!
