Real Estonian country side
Waterfalls have a unique beauty in all seasons. In spring after snow melting and in autumn after heavy rains the flow of water is the greatest and the waterfalls are bigger than ever.
In summer the waterfalls are much smaller, but there is an opportunity to swim in the river, stand under the waterfall and let water massage your shoulders. In winter, waterfalls freeze, forming unpredictable shapes, icicles and ice caves. All year round waterfalls attract photographers and lovers of nature.
Tour to the largest and the most beautiful waterfalls in Estonia Keila Joa and Jagala.
Rivers falling down from the lime stone step form two waterfalls. The beauty of Keila Joa waterfall has always been valued, not only by fishermen who lived on the banks of the river, but also by noble knights. One of them was Alexander fon Benkendorf, the notorious founder of the
first Russian Empire Secret Police in the 19th century. His neo gothic manor house is still on the
bank of the river.
On our way we will have a photo stop in on the picturesque 40 meter high cliff on the shore of the sea. We will see where the Gulf of Finland and the big Baltic sea merge together.
After seeing Keila Joa waterfall we will drive through a small and cozy town Keila, which gave
the name to the river and see the real Estonian countryside.
The second waterfall, Jagala is located on the river the banks of which were inhabited by
Estonian tribes as long as 4 thousand years ago. You will discover ancient burials and will know

Great tour, lots of great information and scenery. Also, Dmitry was able to answer all of our questions. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is due to the fact that we could not get the complete image of the waterfalls as it was Summer at the time of our visit. Obviously at no fault of the guide. I would recommend this tour to a friend as the price is great for what you see and the guide was easy to speak to and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We left with some great memories and photos!
