Ensenada Wine History and tastings.
Take this tour to explore how Mexico's wine came to be, here in the mecca of it all: Guadalupe Valley. From the roots' history of the vines to the glass that may accompany your Baja California meal, our cuisine and wineries have been given many praises through Wine Spectator Magazine and The Daily Meal.
Explore three different wineries with me and meet the owners and caretakers, let them tell you their story on how Mexican wine country evolved and what's going on currently, as well as everything you would like to know about our beautiful wine producing valley.
Most wineries open at 11am. I always recommend to have eaten breakfast before I pick you up. The tour may start at 10am and end around 2pm, unless you decide to be taken to a restaurant.
There will be 3 wineries to visit and if you wish we may exchange a winery for the Museum of Wine and Vine. Drive is usually 30 minutes from your hotel taking highway 3 "Ruta del Vino" also known as the road to Tecate.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Mariana was as a guide through the Valle de Guadalupe region! There were 4 of us and she made the first trip to Mexico for the 80-year-olds in our group a very special one. We stopped at 3 wineries (Tres Valles was our favorite) plus an excellent food truck serving tortas in a gorgeous setting. It was a wonderful day out and we can't wait to go back to Ensenada to explore more of the region with Mariana.
