Market, Mustard, Beer and luxury shopping at Königsallee

We will meet in the old town and taste typical German food and drinks: There are four microbreweries in the old town and we will taste a beer if you like. Our local brew is the top fermented Altbier. Bakery Hinkel is the best in Germany - let's try one of their 100 kinds of bread. Düsseldorf is also a mustard city - have you ever seen mustard on tap?
We will then stroll over the Carlsplatz market, sneek inside a little treasure stall filled with cooking ingredients that are usually only sold to Michelin star awarded chefs, try the market roast coffee and pastry by a German Pastry Chef of the Year.
We will then walk over to beautiful Königsallee - Düsseldorfs Champs Elysées. Here you will enjoy an atmosphere of luxury. Shopping from fashion to furniture. Let's end this culinary and lifestyle tour with a glass of Champagne - or tasting the best Champagne chocolate truffles in the world. . .

Itinerary

We will start in the old town, visit one or several breweries and a mustard shop. The family run bakery Hinkel (4th generation) offers craftsmanship at its best. Hinkel is considered to be the best bakery in Germany only doing hand crafted dough without machines. The owner's hobby is to collect bread recipes wherever he goes.
Then we will continue to the bustling Carlsplatz market with the option of tasting locally roasted coffee, pastry, exceptional German white wines, handmade pasta and much more.
Finally we will walk to Königsalle and have a leisurly stroll with window shopping and discovering the fascinating architecture of the shopping mall Stilwerk.

I cater the tour to your interests: If you don't like alcohol we will skip the liqueur tasting and try hand whipped hot chocolate instead and try the Rhubarb or elderflower "lemonade" called Fassbrause in Uerige brewery instead of a beer.

This tour is not possible on Sudays as the market and all shops are closed.
