Pick and stomp grapes in the most beautiful setting imaginable!
Designated UNESCO World Heritage, the wine valleys of the Douro region provide some of the most spectacular scenery in Portugal. Enjoy a once in a lifetime experience in this magnificent valley, the harvesting and stomping of the grapes!
As this is a full day event, we make our way to the heart of the Douro Valley where you will experience a guided tour of an award winning winery at harvest time. One of the highlights of this tour is participating in the actual hand picking of the grapes after this 'work' you will indulge in an impressive lunch consisting of Portuguese specialities, often with the other workers and sometimes the winemaker! After lunch, roll up your pants and take part in the traditional grape treading where you will stomp grapes in the lagars with your bare feet, something very unique to experience! Throughout this you will get you enjoy tasting the wines.
I can create a customized tour for you should you have any special requests or if you are more than 6 guests.
