Sity of the writer & his characters
Fyodor Dostoevsky is one of the most famous Russian writers.
His most important novels were written here, the majority of his characters lived in our city and above all the city itself became a real character of his novels. His city is the city of poor clerks, the city of poor and homeless people. These areas are never included into ordinary sightseeing tours but there are worth to be.
A 1 hour 40 minutes walking tour of the so-called Dostoevsky area, "inhabited" by the characters of his novel "Crime and Punishment". 6 apartments( almost one after another) were rented by him at this area.
Metro ride to the burial place of Dostoevsky(Tikhvinskoe cemetery at the Alexander Nevsky Monastery).
It's a very special grave yard where a lot of the most famous Russian writers, musicians, painters and actors were buried. You will see Dostoevsky's grave and I will show you around( you'll have an idea of the most famous contemporaries of the writer.
Metro ride to Vladimirskaya Square.
Visit to the Vladimirskaya Church where the burial service for Dostoevsky was held. We shall see his monument, the building where he wrote his first novel & we shall finish near the house where he died.

The tour is available from the middle of March up to the middle of November due to the weather. But in spring & in autumn it could be rather chilly,so then we shall have a coffee break in the middle of the tour. And because of that the tour could be some 20 minutes longer.
