Discover Como centre and the beauty of 18th century original villa, reaching it walking by the lake
Explore all the highlights of Como, including the 18th century Villa Olmo, its magnificent frescoed ballroom and 92 seats theatre, with this 3 hours walking tour. Put your comfortable shoes on and follow me in the discovery of this city, fouded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago. The city of Como is charming and has many stories to tell: you'll be fascinated with the history of how the electrical battery was invented here and intrigued by the mystery of the two statues on the Cathedral. The visit will include: the Duomo, piazza Volta, the Sociale theatre, the Casa del Fascio, via Vittani. Then we'll head towards the so called "stroll of the villas", a pleasant walk by the lake created connecting the gardens of some ancient villas. Most of these mansions are now private and closed to the public, except Villa Olmo, our final destination. We'll enter the villa to admire the beautiful decoration and visit the dining hall, the theatre and all the other rooms. If time allows, we'll visit together the gardens.

Alessandra was a friendly, knowledgeable guide to Como. Her sense of humor, familiarity with every nook of the city, and relaxed vibe made the tour feel like a great visit with a local friend. I was able to return to Como the next day to visit some of the shops we saw on the tour-- and I felt like I knew my way around, thanks to her guidance. Thanks, Alessandra!
