See Helsinki the way we see it
One of the best ways to see a new town is walking on the streets of that town. Helsinki is very much a walkable town where pedestrian are favoured and entrance to most public buildings are easy. This is a way to see parts of Helsinki the people going on tour busses will never see however I will not forget the highlights either. Rock Church, Senate square and market square are included. This is my home town and I want to show it to you. Be my guest.
The centre of Helsinki is not very big and for this reason Helsinki is ideal for walking tours. During our sightseeing we will visit the Rock Church ( famous for it's architecture and entrance fee 3 € ), we look inside the new Music House in Helsinki, our railway station designed by Eliel Saarinen, the monumental centre of Helsinki the Senate Square with neoclassical buildings from the beginning of the 19th century, the market place and the covered market where we can have a salmon or reindeer sandwich. If you feel like having a light meal I can recommend places for that. During our walk you will hear from about our history, customs, daily life, how the future looks for us in Finland and I will try to answer your questions as well as I can. Usually I can.
